2009 National Final Results
Tue 20 October 2009
The grand finale of the Greenpower 2009 season took place on Sunday 18th October at the traditional West Sussex venue of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, in fine Autumnal conditions.
The first race of the day, for Formula 24+ teams, was hotly contested, with Sandbach High School's Zebedee taking the top spot in the 90 minute race, closely followed by Olli Nott in Simple Trug, and Chipping Sodbury School in Y-Pod?!.
The 75 car Formula 24 National Final saw the dominant Chipping Sodbury School take first and third places for teams Rotary Racer and R-PodSSC, with local school Seaford College managing to split the pair in SC07.
A fascinating exhibition enthralled spectators, with the full-scale model of the Bloodhound SSC land speed record attempt car, a Williams F1 car, and the Isle of Man TTXGP winning bike of Agni Motors.
