Greenpower Summer Holidays

It’s August and for many of you that will mean school holidays.  If you’re anything like me when I was at school, your days will now consist of lie-ins, day time TV, “fun” family days out and bickering with your siblings! Here at the Greenpower Centre it’s a very different story… we don’t just hide in a cupboard until September comes - oh no!  Instead we’re busy fitting in all the things we didn’t manage to do during the busy pre-summer race season. 

The deadline for this year’s Media Award has been extended until the end of September so we are judging all the fantastic entries we’ve had for that.  It’s great to see what media interest you have all been generating over the year. 

We’re also busy putting together the guest list and the programme for the National Final which is going to be on 14^th October at Goodwood motor circuit.  It looks like it’s going to be a great day out whether or not your car is taking part in the F24 final or the F24+ Final Round.   There’ll be the Formula 24+ race in the morning, 90 minutes of battery and adrenaline fuelled racing, followed by the F24  four hour race in the afternoon, showcasing some of the best young engineering in the country.  If you fancy a break from the excitement on track there’s going to be lots going on in the paddocks with exhibits from a whole host of organisations; fairground rides; new activities to try your hand at and a great range of food outlets.

As well as getting super excited about the final, we are also gearing up for the final few Regional Heats that take place in September.  We start racing again on 9^th September in Bedford and continue from there to Aintree, Merryfield, Dunsfold and Castle Combe.  Fingers crossed the weather is kinder to us this time round; we’ve only just dried out from Rockingham!
