We can confirm today that the 2021 Greenpower International Final will once again be held at the legendary Goodwood Motor Circuit, following a successful return to the venue in 2020.

The Greenpower International Final, taking place on Sunday 10th October 2021, will round-off what we hope will be a truly spectacular season of electric racing and STEM education.

After a difficult 2020, a year in which many events were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the upcoming season sees the return of a number of events to the calendar. With 16 race meetings currently scheduled, and the potential for more to be added, 2021 is set to be an exciting year for the Greenpower Challenge as young people from all over the UK get back out on track in their electric race cars.

We are confident the new season will run smoothly, with the 2020 Goodwood event demonstrating that race meetings can be carried out successfully and in a safe manner under Covid-19 restrictions. Greenpower continues to follow the latest advice from the UK Government and Motorsport UK. With a later than usual start to the season, it is hoped that as many of our participants as possible are able to prepare their cars and attend an event in 2021.

Paul van Veggel, CEO of Greenpower Education Trust added:

“We are delighted to once again be hosting the Greenpower International Final at the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit, the site of our first ever event over 20 years ago. Off the back of a trying 12 months, we feel rejuvenated entering the 2021 season and hope to carry out a full schedule of races at venues all across the nation. The goal of the Greenpower Challenge has always been to spark young people’s interest in STEM through hands-on, practical learning, and that remains the same as we begin another year of the competition.”
