Greenpower extends partnership with official Communications Partner SQN for 2021

We are pleased to confirm the extension of our partnership with marketing communications, content, campaigns and sponsorship agency SQN, which continues as our official Communications Partner into 2021.

The renewed partnership sees SQN continue as one our Main Partners, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to Greenpower and our goal to encourage more young people into STEM through a hands-on motorsport challenge.

Greenpower was a retained client of SQN’s in 2019 – an important year for us, in which we celebrated our 20th anniversary year and a successful inaugural Hull Street Race, the first-ever all-electric street race to be held on closed roads in the UK. Having seen the benefits of our challenge, SQN strengthened its commitment and signed as a Main Partner in October 2019.

During the unprecedented times of the past 12 months, our partnership with SQN has been integral in maintaining awareness of our positive work and efforts in 2020, despite the unfortunate lack of events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The focus now for both Greenpower and SQN is to work in unison to make 2021 a stronger year, with Goblin, F24 and F24+ events all set to return to the calendar in the near future.

CEO of Greenpower Paul van Veggel said on the partnership renewal: “2020 has been strange times for us all, but SQN has been vital to seeing us through the crisis and keeping us relevant and present in the minds of our current and future participants and partners. We look forward to continuing this momentum into 2021. The support of our partners and sponsors this year has enabled us to provide resources, activities and guidance to our teams, as we sought to continue the spirit of Greenpower during a time when the majority of our participants were unable to meet or work on our cars. There is a lot of work still to be done to ramp up our plans for 2021, but with the support of our partners and sponsors we are confident it will be another great year for Greenpower.”

Chris Hughes, Managing Director of SQN, added: “Greenpower has become an important and valued member of the SQN family since we started our partnership. Working with Paul and his dedicated team has allowed us to see first-hand the benefits that Greenpower offers to young people of all backgrounds to pursue a career in STEM. On the back of a challenging year, it is more vital than ever that we offer the next generation the life skills and opportunities that Greenpower affords. It is why we are proud to extend our commitment to Greenpower as Communications Partner into 2021.”
