How to qualify

2025 GATHERING OF GOBLINS QUALIFICATION (FORMULA GOBLIN)

No qualification is required to compete at the Gathering of Goblins. We welcome entrants from far and wide to compete against each other in the biggest Formula Goblin event of the year.

2025 INTERNATIONAL FINALS QUALIFICATION

F24

Automatic Qualification

The Kit car and Scratch Built car that set the best race distance at each qualifying event will receive an automatic invitation to the International Finals. Should a car that has already received an automatic invitation set the best race distance at a second event, this invitation will be awarded to the car that set the next best distance in the combined results of the two events.

Event X

Event Y

Team A

35.00

37.00

Team B

30.00

33.00

Team C

32.00

31.00

For example, if Team A set the best distance at events X and Y, they would receive an invitation based on their result at event X. The results of both events would then be combined and the next best team would receive the other invitation. In this case Team B as their best distance is better than Team C (33>32).

Distance Table

Following the final qualifying event of the season, further Kit Cars and Scratch Built Cars will be invited based on their position in the Formula 24 Distance Table until 30* cars of each class have been invited. Should any of these cars refuse their invitation, the next best car of any class in the Distance Table will be invited.

The latest F24 Distance Table can be found here.

* Please note that this number is likely to increase throughout the year. This page will be updated should there be any changes.

Wildcard Entries

In addition to the process detailed above, a number of teams will be invited using a Wildcard system. To apply for a Wildcard entry, you must email racing@greenpower.co.uk with the subject ‘Wildcard’ and include text of no more than 350 words explaining why your team deserves to participate in the event. The deadline for Wildcard applications is 12:00 (UTC+1) on Thursday 18th September 2025.

F24+

Championship Table

To be eligible for the Formula 24+ Championship and gain entry to the Finals a car must complete at least one (1) lap at two (2) official Greenpower heats. The results of the championship are the combined scores of each team’s two best heats and their score in the Finals. The 30 cars with the highest combined score from two heats will be invited to the International Finals, regardless of whether they are Scratch Built or Kits. The current F24+ Championship Table can be found here.

Wildcard Entries

All F24+ teams are also eligible for a wildcard entry. If you wish to be considered, send an email to racing@greenpower.co.uk with the subject ‘Wildcard’ and include text of no more than 350 words explaining why your team deserves to participate in the event. The deadline for Wildcard applications is 12:00 (UTC+1) on Thursday 18th September 2025.

International

International teams wishing to enter the International Finals can qualify by competing in events in the UK or by submitting a wildcard application as detailed above. For more details, please contact info@greenpower.co.uk.
